Can federal and/or state grants also be used with SP’s contract?
Yes!
Are vehicle modifications possible?
Yes, let us know the upfitting or modifications needed for your agency vehicles and we will work together to identify the best solutions.
Who takes care of the maintenance?
SP in collaboration with you will determine the plan for maintenance. Then SP partners with local qualified vendors to maintain the assets. Maintenance (including monthly detailing) will be performed on vehicles and charging infrastructure to keep the units in a state of good repair.
How long will it take to receive the cars?
As soon as possible! Delivery of vehicles is subject to individual manufacturer/vendor production schedules and the customer’s requirements (e.g., special upfitting/modifications, schedule changes, etc.)
Does SP maintain the chargers too?
If the chargers are SP chargers then yes, in collaboration with the customer, SP will determine a maintenance plan for the charging infrastructure.
Can we cancel or change if we don’t like the program?
SP’s agreement is flexible and enables changes when funding amount, scope of project, or needs change. The contract is month-to-month and only requires 30 days’ written notice for termination.
Is this a lease?
No. This is a monthly service agreement.

SP provides a qualified single point of contact, Infrastructure Specialist, located in Hawai’i to facilitate project communication and deliverables.
